How can we use paper to feel better?

Doodling helps calm your amygdala - the part of your brain that controls your fight or flight response, aka anxiety. Doodling takes you out of your brain and safely back into your body.

Journaling allows you to tap back into your inner voice and recognize yourself for all the hard things you go through. Through journaling you can be your own voice of compassion.

Origami and the act of folding paper is another exercise in mindfulness. It can also provide quiet relief for those who fidget or needs something to do with their hands.

Connecting with other paper loving folks, through the planner community, allows us to feel seen and heard. Creating opportunities to come together and celebrate our mutual love of paper.

Journaling to improve your mood and mental health

Practice self love by reflecting on what you are proud of.  Give yourself credit for all that you do.

Practice gratitude by listing the things you are thankful for, and why. How do they make you feel?

Write a letter to yourself uplifting, validating or offering a wider perspective. Pretend as if you are talking to a friend.

Pick on small thing based on all of the above to work on.
